REED: FULL OF CONFIDENCE

Harrison Reed is keen for Fulham to build on the season opener when we travel to Molineux on Saturday.

The Whites flew out of the traps against Liverpool last week, winning plaudits throughout the game for their attitude.

Attentions quickly shifted to Wolverhampton Wanderers, though, and Reed is targeting a similar level of performance.

“Wolves are a very good side,” he said. “They’ve been in the Premier League for a long time.

“Every game in the Premier League is tough, every game is slightly different, but as a team we’re going to focus on ourselves.

“We’re going to go into the game exactly how we want to be – aggressive, front foot, get on the ball, dominate possession.

“Listen, we know it’s a tough game away at Wolves, it’s a tough ground to go to with the atmosphere, one we’re looking forward to, and off the back of Saturday we’re full of confidence.”

That high morale is certainly justified after the way the team took the game to their opponents, and Reed believes the fact there was some frustration at not winning the match bodes well for the future.

“All pre-season was working towards that first game,” he explained. “When we saw Liverpool come out [as the opening fixture] we knew it was going to be a tough test, but going into the game we were full of confidence after last season.

“It was about being aggressive, getting in their face and starting the season how we wanted to.

“To come away with a point, and be a little bit disappointed about it, was a great start.”
