EVERTON BOSS FRANK LAMPARD AND A NUMBER OF FULHAM FACES PROVIDE THEIR THOUGHTS ON SATURDAY’S EARLY EVENING SHOWDOWN IN SW6.
Marco Silva
They reacted really well in their last game after the three defeats in a row. The reaction from them at home was really good. They will come here in a good mood but they know that they will play against a team that is in a very good moment as well. We really enjoy to play each game at home with our fans behind us. We have to be as competitive as we can to beat them to take the three points, knowing that it will be a tough game.
Frank Lampard
We go to a really difficult opposition who are playing really well themselves. They’re a team getting results at the moment and playing well. They’ll be very happy with their start I’m sure. Good players, good way of playing, energy in the team, difficult place to play at Fulham, I know that from over the years myself, and the team looks confident. We’re under no illusions of what type of game it’ll be. It will be difficult, and we have to concentrate on ourselves and have a belief that we can challenge them, and I know we can, we just have to turn up with the right attitude and application. I think we’re in for a good game. It will be a tough game, you have to respect what Fulham have done so far.
Harrison Reed
They’re coming off the back of a really good result. You look at their squad and they’ve got quality throughout. They’ve got experience. We’ll focus on ourselves, prepare ourselves the same as we have for every game this season. We want to be on the front foot from the first whistle. We’ll have the fans behind us at the Cottage, so it’s something we’re really looking forward to.
Dan James
As a team we’re growing every game. The way the Gaffer sets us up is really good, we like to try and keep the ball. We build up really well, and when we do that we cause damage to teams. It showed against Aston Villa when we were on top for a lot of the game and went on to win comfortably, and then it was good to go to Leeds and come from behind to win that game. This weekend’s going to be another tough one.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid
We’re not getting too high. We understand it’s a tough league and that every game is a tough one. We’re going to go into that [Everton] game with confidence, like we should do, and we’re looking to get the three points.
