Fulham Women welcomed Herne Bay to Motspur Park in the second round of the League Cup at the weekend.
Ellie Olds and Chloe McNee returned from injury to join the starting line-up, alongside U18s goalkeeper Holly Cowan.
Georgia Heasman was fouled inside Herne Bay’s box, which led to a penalty for Fulham. Tia Foreman stepped up to take it and put it bottom right, scoring the first goal of the game.
At half-time three substitutions were made, Ede Buchele, Alex Haymen and Tessa Allen were all brought on. Fulham started the second half with a newfound pace, putting pressure on Herne Bay’s defence. Buchele made a great impact and went on to score twice.
Holly Cowen kept a clean sheet and Fulham Women won the game 3-0 to make it through to the third round.
