Harrison Reed’s fierce strike against Aston Villa has been voted as Fulham’s Goal of the Month for October.
Despite a strong start against Villa, we were unable to find a way past Emi Martinez until the 36th minute, when Reed brought down the goalkeeper’s punched clearance on the edge of the box and rifled a brilliant shot inside the far post.
Hitting across the ball, it was such a clean hit, heading into the back of the net from the moment it left his foot.
It was Reed’s second goal in five matches for Fulham, having previously made 100 appearances for the Club without bagging – a sign of the progress he’s making as a more advanced midfielder in the number eight role.
This was our tightest ever Goal of the Month poll, with Reed’s zinger receiving just one more vote than Willian’s first for the Whites – one which was set up beautifully by our Ginger Iniesta 2.0.
