SPURS MATCHDAY PREVIEW

January 21, 2023 5:47 pm

FULHAM V TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR | MONDAY 23RD JANUARY 2023 | 8PM | CRAVEN COTTAGE | #FULTOT

The opposition

  • Just two points and one place separate the teams in the Premier League table currently. Spurs will be hoping to remain above us by avoiding defeat, but a victory for the Whites would see us leapfrog Monday’s opponents.
  • It’s been a testing return to action for Antonio Conte’s men since the World Cup. After fighting back from two down to draw at Brentford, they were beaten at home by Aston Villa. A 4-0 triumph away to Crystal Palace suggested an upturn in form, but they were then subsequently beaten by both Arsenal and Manchester City.
  • Thursday’s defeat at the Etihad would have been a tough one to take considering Spurs were 2-0 up at the interval. City hit back with aplomb in the second half, though, to win 4-2, meaning Spurs have now conceded 31 goals – the sixth most in the top flight.
