ANDREAS: BELIEVE IN OURSELVES

Andreas Pereira reflected on a positive week for himself and Fulham, before looking ahead to a tricky Brighton battle on the weekend.

After no win in four, last week was a chance to progress in the FA Cup as well as pick up some more points in the League, and both opportunities were taken.

“I’m very happy, it was a difficult week we had,” said our midfield maestro. “We came back from some results we didn’t want with a win in the Cup and and three points that were massive, so very happy.”

Our Brazilian man picked up a goal against Sunderland and then his sixth Premier League assist on Saturday (ranking him fourth in that metric in the league) capping off a personally productive period.

“I’m feeling good. Since I came to Fulham I’ve been feeling good, every day that passes I feel better here and feel more at home.”

Like Fulham, Brighton have enjoyed a successful season so far, and Andreas knows it’ll be a stern test on the South Coast.

“It’s going to be a difficult game, we know they’re a very difficult team, but we have to believe in ourselves.

“We have a very good team as well, a very good manager and we’re going to do everything to get the three points.

“I think it’s going to be a similar type of game (to last time we played). They like to keep the ball and we just have to find the weakness and score goals.

“We have to fight for the spot (in the league). They want to be up there, we want to be up there as well so we have to show we’re a better team.”

Another sold-out away end awaits the team on Saturday, and our playmaker spoke of their importance on the occasion.

“It’s a massive help. When we hear the away fans louder than the home fans it’s just amazing and it gives us an extra boost.”
