On Sunday we welcomed Dartford Women to Motspur Park, as we returned to a league fixture after a couple weeks of Cup games.
The starting line-up included Lilly Lambird who is back from injury.
This Fixture was also Anisha Hill and Libby Stratton’s first League game for Fulham.
Dartford where given a penalty in the opening minutes that gave them an opportunity to get ahead. Their penalty taker sent the ball down the middle and into the back of our net.
This early setback for Fulham did not stop them from pushing on with the aim of making it even again.
Dartford did manage to get a second goal before half time, putting more pressure on Fulham to get a goal back.
Fulham kept the attacking force up and tested the Dartford goal keeper in the closing minutes of the first half, but to no avail.
Dartford started on the front foot in the second half and scored their third goal within the first minute.
The score line did not deter the Fulham squad from creating chances, Helen Ogle worked hard to get the ball up the line and into the area multiple times.
Dartford where able to break through our defence and get themselves a fourth goal.
Goal keeper Libby Stratton made some excellent ent saves throughout the game.
Ede Buchele entered the field at half time and from then caused chaos for the Dartfort defence, protecting the ball when attacking.
The closing minutes of the the game were filled with a lot of action including a fith goal for Dartford and a Penalty for Fulham however the ball did not make it across the line and soon after the final whistle was blown.
making the full time score 5-0 to Dartford.
