GOAL OF THE MONTH RESULT: FEBRUARY

March 9, 2023 1:39 pm

João Palhinha’s remarkable strike against Leeds United has been voted Fulham’s Goal of the Month for February.

The midfielder anticipated Tyler Adams’ loose pass and robbed possession before Marc Roca could get to it. That was a decent first touch, but his second was nothing short of majestic.

After a quick look up, Palhinha opened his body and bent a sublime effort around Illan Meslier from a full 30 yards, with the ball kissing the post on its way in just to add to the sexiness of the shot.

“I think it’s the best goal in my career,” João told FFCtv at full-time. “I recovered the ball, looked for the goal, and tried to do the effect that I put on the ball.
