On Sunday Fulham Women travelled to Ebbsfleet to play in the Kuflink Stadium, Ebbsfleet sit top of the league table and last time to two teams came face to face Fulham lost 2-0.
Despite playing Ebbsfleet earlier in the season this was the first time that Meg Mendes, Ede Buchele, Summer Roberts stepped out onto the pitch against them this season.
Fulham show a strong attacking presence in the first half, and where able to get the ball through the Ebbsfleet defence several times.
The majority of play in the first half was situated in the middle of the pitch, both teams going back and forth between halves, and midfielders such as Chloe McNee, Lilly Lambird and Anisha Hill were working relentlessly to regain the ball.
The hard work put in by both teams kept the score to be 0-0 at half time.
Ebbsfleet scored the first goal of the game, 5 minutes into the second half, raising the pressure for Fulham to step up and score.
Defensive players, Tessa Allen and Tia Foreman both had shots on goal trying to test the Ebbsfleet goalkeeper.
Fulham Women worked hard at both ends of the pitch, the forward players feeding the ball to each other in different ways and Edie Kelly in goal made a great blocking save.
Ebbsfleet did not plan to back off any time soon as they were pushing forward to get a second goal, which they managed to do in the 75th minute.
The score was now 2-0 to Ebbsfleet.
The score line changed to 2-1 when Anisha Hill stepped up and scored her first goal for Fulham Women, closing the gap between Ebbsfleet and Fulham.
Ebbsfleet went onto to score another two goals, just minutes apart.
In the last minute of the game Charmaine True scored Fulham’s second goal in the most composed fashion, making the final score 4-2 to Ebbsfleet.
