On Sunday Fulham welcomed Millwall Lionesses to Motspur Park.
The last time these two teams came face to face was in November when Fulham beat Millwall 3-1.
Libby Stratton started in goal for Fulham this weekend, leading the squad from the back, along with Becky Stormer who was named as Captain.
Fulham where confident on the ball in the first half, where able to play the ball around Millwall and created some strong attacking passes.
Megalie Mendes and Lilly Lambird moved swiftly with the ball at their feet and moved the ball forward on multiple occasions causing the Millwall defence to deal with troublesome passes once the ball was in their half.
In the first half Georgia Heasman put in a massive shift taking shots on goal and providing quality passes between herself and her teammates.
Both Fulham and Millwall worked hard in the first half defending each other’s attacks which lead to the score staying 0-0 at half-time.
Millwall managed to score first in the second half, as they took a shot from range that dropped into the goal over Stratton.
This put Fulham on the back leg however the increased pressure on them to gain a goal spurred the team on as they kept pushing forward.
Fulham continued to put pressure on the Millwall defence by bombarding them with attacks from different angles on the pitch.
Players moved up and took shots at the Millwall goalkeeper making their attacking presence known.
In the 67th minute Fulham made it 1-1.
Tia Foreman sent her free kick into the box, where Georgia Heasman knocked it onto Becky Stormer who had managed to lose her defender and flicked the ball into the back of the net.
Both sides were unable to score another goal, so the full-time score was 1-1.
Both teams took 1 point away from the game and remain on equal points in the table.
