EVERTON MATCHDAY PREVIEW

April 14, 2023 5:28 pm

EVERTON V FULHAM | SATURDAY 15TH APRIL 2023 | 3PM | GOODISON PARK | #EVEFUL

The opposition

  • A 2-0 loss at West Ham United in January, which was Everton’s eighth defeat in 10 matches, ended up costing Frank Lampard his job. Former Burnley boss Sean Dyche the man brought in to replace him.
  • Dyche had an immediate impact, defeating league leaders Arsenal at Goodison Park in his first game in charge – the first of three 1-0 wins under Dyche at home, with Leeds United and Brentford also leaving empty handed.
  • The Toffees are much harder to beat under Dyche, having also secured draws against Nottingham Forest, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, though they do go into the weekend on the back of a lacklustre defeat at Old Trafford.

Player insight

Having not got off the bench the last time Fulham faced Everton away, Toffees academy graduate Antonee Robinson is looking forward to ticking Goodison Park off his grounds list.

“I was thinking [at the time], that at 23-years-old I’m finally playing in the Prem, and I still don’t manage to play at Goodison!” Jedi told FFCtv.

“Hopefully I manage to get in the team for that one and play, and finally I’ll play a Premier League game at Goodison, which will be nice.”
