CRYSTAL PALACE MATCHDAY PREVIEW

May 19, 2023 10:22 am

FULHAM V CRYSTAL PALACE | SATURDAY 20TH MAY 2023 | 3PM | CRAVEN COTTAGE | #FULCRY

The opposition

  • An awful start to 2023, which didn’t yield a single victory in 12 outings, ended up costing Patrick Vieira his job. He was replaced by former boss – and Fulham legend – Roy Hodgson.
  • Hodgson made an immediate impact, winning his first three matches against Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton to ease some very real relegation concerns, while further damaging those sides’ hopes of staying up.
  • The Eagles have, in total, won five of the eight games since Hodgson’s return and are now mathematically safe. They could even finish as high as 11th, should they manage to better Chelsea’s results between now and the end of the season.

Fulham team news

Daniel James rejoined the squad in training this week after missing the wins over Leicester and Southampton with a hamstring strain. Tim Ream and Andreas Pereira remain sidelined.

Crystal Palace team news

Wilfried Zaha is unlikely to be fit enough to play again this season after he limped off against Bournemouth. Palace have also reported that they will be without Jeff Schlupp due to a personal issue.
