Vincent Kompany’s men see off the Owls in training ground friendly
Burnley beat Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 on Friday afternoon in a behind-closed-doors training ground friendly at Gawthorpe.
Scott Twine gave the hosts the lead in the first minute before Josh Brownhill added a second seven minutes into the second-half for his third goal in two pre-season friendlies after bagging a brace on Tuesday against Port Vale.
Substitute Dara Costelloe scored a third goal of the game with two minutes left on the clock as Kompany’s men ran out worthy winners.
