Clarets score three as they sweep aside Whites
Burnley FC’s Under 21s side continued their pre-season preparations with a 3-0 win, in a 70-minute fixture against Leeds United at the Burnley Training Centre.
Lewis Richardson, who had dropped back into a midfield role, struck after 17 minutes to give the Clarets the lead before Joe Westley and Basilio Rieno Socoliche both hit the woodwork on the brink of half-time.
Forward Westley then saw a goal disallowed as moments later Renaldo Torraj finished off a sweeping move, involving goalscorer Richardson, to make it two.
Tom Tweedy sealed the victory three minutes from time as his lobbed effort caught out the Leeds goalkeeper and dropped into the back of the net as Burnley completed a well-deserved win.
