Signing number seven of the summer discusses Burnley move

New signing Jacob Bruun Larsen admits he is inspired by the ‘project’ that is building at Turf Moor after joining on a season-long loan from Hoffenheim.

The 24-year-old has played under manager Vincent Kompany during a spell at RSC Anderlecht and the winger is relishing at the opportunity of reuniting with the Belgian boss.

Bruun Larsen becomes the seventh new signing of the summer and the Dane is eager to test himself in the Premier League and work alongside Kompany again.

After joining on loan, Larsen said: “The whole project just really inspires me and I want to be a part of that and as soon as I heard that might be a possibility I quickly decided that was what I wanted to do.

“I’ve worked with the manager and the staff before and I think the boys are in good hands, I can tell that from our time in Belgium.”

“I’m really looking forward to working with them again and I believe that we will increase our levels as individuals and as a collective team.”

It will be the first time Larsen has featured in England before after racking up 67 Bundesliga appearances but the forward is excited to test himself in the Premier League with the Clarets.

The Denmark international said: “It’s good to come into the group and get to know everyone and yeah I’m really happy to be here and excited.”

“It’s a dream just to play in the league, I expect great things and I’m really looking forward to it.”

“I’ve been told it’s a tough league but I’m definitely looking forward to it and I can’t wait to get into training with the boys and just to improve as well and do something great this season.”

Speaking in his first interview at the Club with Clarets+, Larsen paid tribute to his parent club for allowing him to make the move he aspired to make.

“We had an honest conversation about everything and I wanted to come to Burnley and they respected that, and we found a solution in the end.”

“I’m very happy that everyone that participated in this agreed to things.”
