Staff and players to be involved in training day at Shuttleworth College
Burnley FC’s U18s and U21s staff and goalkeepers will host a ‘GK Open Day’ at Shuttleworth College on Thursday 17th August.
Sean Fogarty, Connor King, Sam Waller, Harry Moss, Jon Ander Vilar Robinson, Lewis Forshaw and Felix Chester will all be involved in a day that will feature a ‘Goalkeeper Wars’ tournament – in which small sided ‘keeper games will take place, with 2 ‘keepers aiming to score against each other on a small, tight pitch.
The open day will be available to the U9-U12s age groups and participants must live within one and a half hours of the Burnley Training Centre.
The aim of the day will be to offer local goalkeepers the opportunity to train with Burnley FC goalkeepers while showcasing their talents to the coaches, as well as giving them a chance to meet their first team heroes.
The U9s & U10s session will begin at 12pm and timings are as follows:
12pm – Arrival & Registration – Shuttleworth College.
12-12:15pm – Warm Up.
12:15-1:30pm – GK Wars will take place.
1:30pm – Players free to leave.
The U11s & U12s session will begin at 2pm and timings are as follows:
2pm – Arrival & Registration – Shuttleworth College.
2-2:15pm – Warm Up.
2:15-3:30pm – GK Wars will take place.
3:30pm – Players free to leave.
