Versatile Brazilian extends stay with the Clarets
Burnley Football Club are delighted to confirm that Vitinho has signed a new four-year deal at Turf Moor.
Vitinho becomes the fourth Claret to sign a new long-term deal this season, after Josh Cullen, Anass Zaroury and Manuel Benson all penned new contracts in August.
Upon extending his stay at Burnley, Vitinho said: “I’m really pleased to extend my contract here. I have enjoyed every minute of being at Burnley and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
“The fans have been amazing to me and made me feel welcome ever since I joined. I look forward to making more special memories with them.”
Vitinho, who has played three of the Clarets seven opening matches this season, arrived in Burnley last summer after joining from Belgian side Cercle Brugge for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old played 41 times across his first campaign with the Clarets and helped Vincent Kompany’s side secure the Sky Bet Championship title.
