Crystal Palace
Former England, Fulham and Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson returned to Selhurst Park in March this year after replacing the departed Patrick Vieira.
Hodgson initially managed Palace from 2017 until 2021, with a spell at Watford in 2022, the 76-year-old was then re-appointed Eagles manager last season.
The summer saw plenty of arrivals and departures in south London, as forward Wilfred Zaha ended his nine-year second spell with the Club after a move to Galatasaray.
Amongst Zaha, goalkeeper Jack Butland signed for Rangers, Luka Milivojevic joined Al-Ahli, Vincente Guaita moved to Celta Vigo, whilst Scottish midfielder James McArthur retired in the summer.
Hodgson replaced some of those departures with Jefferson Lerma from AFC Bournemouth, attacking midfielder Matheus Franca arrived from Flamengo, Dean Henderson signed from Manchester United and Rob Holding made the move from north London to south.
Form Guide
The Clarets will be hoping to claim all three points against the Eagles in what would be the first victory at home this season.
Kompany’s side have endured a tricky start at home facing the four of last season’s top eight in Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.
Palace have won three games this season, with the most recent coming in a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford in September.
The Eagles are winless in their last three fixtures, losing the last two games to Tottenham and Newcastle with a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park with Nottingham Forest prior to the October international break.
What Vincent Kompany said
“We’re really looking forward to being back in front of our fans this weekend. We need them every step of the way and they have been with us every step of the way so far.
“It wasn’t nice for them (supporters) at Brentford or at Bournemouth but they have still been there in their numbers and their support has been tremendous.
“Being back at home on Saturday needs to give us that advantage and it’s massive for us to use that, to take every bit of support in our stride and give the fans what they have been waiting for.
“There have been plenty of difficult times for Burnley over the years in the Premier League and togetherness is key, not just now but for the entire season.”
