Vinny’s notes ahead of today’s game

Hello again and welcome back to Turf Moor.

To come away from Anfield having created the number of chances we did was both heartening and disappointing.

Obviously, we wanted a better result but we’re concentrating on the positives.

We have the belief, and we have the hunger to get the run of results we need, and we will absolutely fight for it every step of the way.

Today is another good opportunity for the players at our football club to show us again they are more than capable and worthy of competing in the Premier League.

We welcome Mikel Arteta, and everyone connected to Arsenal this afternoon.

From day one of Mikel going into management it was clear he had the talent and the work rate to be a great manager and he has helped build one of the best teams in the Premier League.

As you know, the powers that be have decided I can’t be in the dugout this afternoon. I am confident the staff that are there will carry the message to the pitch this afternoon and the players will put in another performance to be proud of.

We have no fear and only one desire. The next game and get results.
